About the Opportunity
A well-established mining operation in the North West Province is urgently seeking experienced Winch Operators to join their underground team. This is a hands-on operational role suited for candidates who are certified, disciplined, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced underground environment.
If you hold your Winch Operator Certificate and have a passion for underground mining, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Safe operation of winch equipment underground
Transporting materials, equipment, and personnel as directed
Conducting pre-use inspections on winch machinery
Maintaining clear communication with the shift team and supervisor
Adhering strictly to Mine Health & Safety Act (MHSA) regulations
Reporting any faults, hazards, or incidents immediately
Minimum Requirements
Valid Winch Operator Certificate (essential — applications without will not be considered)
Medically fit for underground work
Sound knowledge of underground mining procedures
Ability to work under pressure and in confined spaces
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
