General Worker – Mining & Chrome Sector

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Worker to join our team in the Mining and Chrome sector. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and take pride in doing essential work safely and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment

Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment to operational standards

Support drilling, blasting, and excavation teams under direct supervision

Transport materials within the mine site, both manually and using basic equipment

Follow instructions from supervisors, artisans, fitters, and electricians

Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks as directed

Ensure all tools and equipment are correctly stored after use

Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, mine regulations, and site-specific rules

Report any hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor or Safety Rep.

Working Conditions

This role is conducted in an outdoor, labour-intensive environment. Assignees will be exposed to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks on a daily basis. The nature of this work requires individuals who are physically fit, resilient and able to sustain high levels of activity throughout a shift. So HTS fit is a must.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Relevant work experience in a similar role will be advantageous

Clean criminal record

Immediately available candidate required

Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
